Qatar Exchange | Almeera Consumer Goods Company | AL MEERA ACQUIRES TWO PROPERTIES FOR NEW COMMUNITY MALLS IN LUSAIL

 

 Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has announced its acquisition of two properties from Qatari Diar where the retailer has set sights to launch Al Meera lifestyle community malls. The properties, located in Lusail’s Fox Hills District and North Residential Villas District, will serve the surrounding neighbourhoods and visitors to Lusail thus, adding to Al Meera’s extensive network of 59 branches across the State of Qatar.This move comes in line with Al Meera’s ambitious expansion strategy which aims to bring the retailer’s exceptional services to localities around the country. Plans are underway to launch operations at the Fox Hills District branch this year while operations for the North Residential Villas District will commence the following year.The built-up area of Al Meera Lifestyle Community Malls in Fox Hills District and North Residential Villas District is approximately 8,600 Sq Meters and 3, 800 Sq Meters, respectively.

These two new Malls will each house an Al Meera supermarket which will carry an array of fresh produce and an assortment of sought-after consumer goods to provide customers and visitors with all their daily needs. The supermarket will be fitted out with the latest Al Meera signature design concept and colours to give the store a unique and modern visual look and feel in line with the retailer’s continuous efforts in enhancing the customers’ shopping experience. In addition to Al Meera Supermarket, the remaining retail space in each mall will be leased out to a mix of restaurants, cafes, fast food chains, services, and spaces for other retail outlets as well, that will together serve the neighbouring community and visitors to Lusail City. The Fox Hills District Mall will bring to the neighbourhood 15 retail units in addition to other retail offerings and the North Residential District Mall will also offer Al Meera shoppers and mall visitors over 12 retail units. The combination of Al Meera supermarket and retail outlets will give customers access to a wide range of extensive product offerings, numerous essential services and eateries while they are out shopping for their daily needs, and therefore, offering a complete shopping experience that caters to their needs beyond groceries. The retail giant has recently inaugurated two new branches, in Jeryan Jenaihat and Al Asmakh Mall, with plans underway for establishing more this year. The retail chain is working in close coordination with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to further contribute to the development and urbanisation across districts and territories in Qatar as the country’s national retailer.
